About this Event

Welcome to this British Museum Bible Tour! Join us for a fascinating journey through ancient Assyria, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Babylon and Persia as we explore the biblical artifacts housed in this iconic institution. The British Museum is one of the great museums of the world, containing within it one of the most extensive collections of items relating to the Bible. This eye-opening tour will illuminate for us the background culture of biblical events and transport us into the world of the Bible. Along the way, we’ll see how archaeology gives strong support to the Bible's historical record. This is a not-to-be-missed experience, that will enrich your understanding of the Bible.

The tour is led by Charlie Ward, who has been leading tours of the British Museum for almost 20 years. He is a church minister and the director of the South West Gospel Partnership Ministry Training Course, teaching on Biblical archaeology, Biblical Hebrew, Bible background and history, along with many other subjects.

Included with the tour is an extensive 30 page colour handout, which will enable you to revisit and remember what we have seen.

The tour is limited to a maximum group size of 15 people, enabling the group to engage with the tour leader and ask questions.
