🌺 Sunday 29th September 2024
🌺 9.30am
🌺 Meet Point: Brierley Forest Park Car Park, Skegby Road, Huthwaite, NG17 2PL
🌺 Distance: Approximately 6.5 - 8 miles (Toilet stop at the halfway mark)
Join us for a lovely Sunday ramble from Brierley Forest Park to the Silverhill Highest Point and Miner’s Statue.
The walk starts at Brierley Forest Park Visitor Centre along the peaceful paths and trails of Brierley Forest Park and the Teversal Trail to Silverhill Woods.
Here, you will have the option to walk up Silverhill to see the Miner’s statue and the highest point in Nottinghamshire, with wonderful views of 5 different counties! We will have our lunch on picnic benches at the top of Silverhill or at the bottom of the hill in Silverhill Woods if you choose not to walk up.
We will then follow the same route back to Brierley Forest Park Visitor Centre.
This walk is just under 8 miles if you choose to walk up the hill and approximately 6.5 miles if you want to wait at the bottom.
Please note - there are toilets and a café at the Brierley Forest Park Visitor Centre, also another toilet on the route at the halfway mark.
Please bring plenty of water and your packed lunch. 😊
Connect with other deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing women!
A waterproof coat and sturdy footwear such as walking boots or good trainers are essential. Assistance dogs only.
