As summer comes to a close, we're bringing the Newark community together for a day centered around preparation, connection, and hope.
Hosted by Bridging Thee Gap Foundation Inc. at 890 S Orange Ave, Newark, this annual event is designed to help children, families, and individuals begin the new school year feeling confident, supported, and equipped—all completely free of charge.
Whether you're attending for school supplies, a fresh haircut, family activities, community resources, or simply to enjoy the atmosphere, there is something here for everyone.

Resource Distribution
Info: All food and item distribution (school supplies and clothes) will be administered on a first come first served basis. All children must be accompanied by adults in order to receive school supplies, just as adults must have their children present to receive school supplies on their behalf.

Grooming Services
Info: Experienced nail techs, braiders/hairstylists, and barbers will provide complimentary services for guests throughout the event. All services are offered on first come first served basis.
