Speakers
Dr Nicola Moretti - Lecturer in Digital Construction Management
Nicola is a Lecturer in Digital Construction Management at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, where he also serves as Deputy Departmental Graduate Tutor (DGT).
His research focuses on innovative information management approaches, enhancing decision-making capabilities related to built assets and systems, with an impact on core facilities operations, asset management, and facilities management services. This is delivered through a variety of data and process management methods, anchored in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) framework and GIS integration. The use cases span a variety of sectors, including healthcare, educational environments, office spaces, building portfolios, and urban districts.

Omar Abbas - Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA)
Omar is a dynamic researcher with a rich background in the Built Environment, and Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) industry, where they have excelled as a member of various esteemed institutions.
Holding an MSc in Project and Enterprise Management and a BSc in Construction Engineering, Omar brings a unique blend of academic rigour and practical experience to the field. He is dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering impactful solutions at the intersection of academia and industry within the built environment and AECO sector. Currently focused on assessing the value of digital twins, Omar is committed to driving innovation and driving positive change in their field.
