Join us for Bridging the Gap: Advancing Black Health Equity in Diabetes Care, a working-group style event dedicated to shaping more equitable and integrated health systems in Southwestern Ontario.
Hosted by Type Diabeat It, this in-person breakfast session will bring together health leaders, policymakers, and community advocates to explore models that center the Black community in creating trusted, culturally safe pathways to care.
Our keynote speaker, Liben Gebremikael, Executive Director of TAIBU Community Health Centre, will share insights from 15 years of leadership advancing Black health and anti-racist care—offering a framework for how London and Southwestern Ontario can adapt proven approaches that work.
Representatives from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) will join us as we share our newly approved race-based data tools, discuss opportunities for collaboration, and envision the future of Black health infrastructure across the region.
Brunch is included and starts at 830 am!
