Come be part of a timely and thought-provoking conversation about one of the most pressing challenges facing our region: energy affordability.

The Pittsburgh chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) invites you to join industry leaders, policymakers, community stakeholders and energy professionals for an evening of networking and dialogue focused on the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of energy in Pennsylvania.

This year's discussion, "Bridging the Cost Gap: Understanding the Energy Affordability Crisis," will explore the factors driving rising energy costs, the impact on households and businesses, and what can be done to ensure energy remains reliable, accessible and affordable for all.

The evening will feature a panel discussion with recognized leaders and subject matter experts from across the energy sector, including:

• Tim Burdis – Director of State Policy Solutions, PJM Interconnection
• Darryl Lawrence – Consumer Advocate of Pennsylvania; Planning Committee Member, North American Reliability Corporation (NERC)
• Dr. Destenie Nock – Professor, Carnegie Mellon University; Department of Engineering & Public Policy
• Kevin Walker – President & CEO, Duquesne Light Company
• Tishekia Williams – Consultant, E3M Solutions

Discussion topics will include energy affordability, reliability, infrastructure investment, emerging technologies, workforce development and the future of energy policy.
