About this Event
The Bridge Fellowship offers a place for guys to share their stories, experiences and reflections over breakfast, in a relaxed setting. We believe these conversations are increasingly rare, but all the more important and good for the soul.
This month Stephen Baxter will bring reflections from his four decades in leadership: a business he couldn't save, relationships he learned to maintain, and a calling that took half a lifetime to understand.
In terms of breakfast, we have some delicious breakfast wraps and granola available from Macquarie Soul, as well as fresh local coffee. You can let us know what coffee you'd like (e.g. Flat White, Long Black, alternative milks etc...) in the additional information box and we'll order it from Zimmah that day. Similarly if you have dietary requirements, let us know and we'll pick up whatever you need. Please register by Wednesday if you can, as we place orders on Thursday morning.
You can arrive around 7:15am for a 7:30am start. We then finish at 8:30am sharp to allow plenty of time for getting to work. Further details for accessing the venue will be provided once you have registered.
Third Space has regularly been hosting men's breakfasts around the country. They are designed to create a space for men to share their stories of success, failure, hardship and hope intertwined with questions of life, faith and meaning. People from all walks of life are welcome, regardless of faith background, belief or worldview.
You can contact [email protected] for further information.
Stephen L Baxter has been a leader of not-for-profit organisations for over 40 years in publishing, housing, training and churches. Up until recently he has served as the Senior Pastor of Hobart Baptist Church and State Leader of Tasmanian Baptists. Stephen now works as an elder mentor and facilitator to CEOs and Board Chairs organisations across Australia. His work centres on one thing: trusted accompaniment through complexity.
He is also the founder, Chair and MC of the Tasmanian Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast each year. He and his wife Jenny make their home in Sandy Bay, Tasmania, and their family, five children and almost eight grandchildren spanning across Tasmania, Melbourne, and Madrid.
