We're doing something a little different at Mami's this August.

On Saturday, 1 August, we're opening our doors to 35 people who've never picked up a comb with confidence and turning it into an afternoon they won't forget.

Brews & Braids is a homegrown workshop for dads, mums, aunties, uncles, brothers, sisters, partners, and anyone who's ever been asked, "Can you do my hair?" but didn't know where to start.

We've transformed our favourite pink room into a fun, relaxed space where you'll learn the basics of braiding while enjoying great food, drinks, and even better company.

Here's what's included:

✨ A beginner-friendly braiding workshop

✨ 35 participants

✨ 35 mannequin heads to practise on

✨ Guidance from 3 professional hairstylists

✨ Lunch from Mami's Tamales:

🍺 2 Drinks: Choice of Draft Beer or Frozen Lime Margarita
