At the Wildlife Viewing Area next to Merganser Pond, darkness, stillness, fireflies, and the sounds of pond life at night surround the concert.
The concert is very close to parking and restrooms
DIRECTIONS
Enter the gate, drive 1 mile on Bald Eagle Drive, pass the Visitor’s center, make a right at the T. The Wildlife Viewing Area will be in 400 yards.

6:15-6:30 p.m. Arrival at gate to the park.
7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Concert at Wildlife Viewing Area at Merganser Pond

DESCRIPTION
Leaves ring like bells
Water sings and grasshoppers pulse
Flutist takes a breath and joins the play
Solo flute interlaces with sounds from nature. The program includes compositions by Carrie Rose and other contemporary and classical composers. Many of the pieces are designed to weave with recorded sounds of nature. This concert will be off the grid next to a peaceful pond at dusk, with crickets, pond life, and emerging stars.

* Shifting Landscapes for flute and electronics by Jeff Herriott
