On Thursday 29 October 2026, our Newcastle and Sydney offices will be holding the 20th annual Hunter Breast Care Breakfast!
What is the Breast Care Breakfast? 🩷
In 2006, the first annual Breast Care Breakfast was held in order to empower our local Breast Care Nurses and give them the opportunity to be able to attend educational conferences and expand their knowledge. One of the Partners at PKF lost his wife to breast cancer, and we felt we needed to support him and mark her memory in some small way. 20 years later, the breakfast attracts over 500 attendees each year and has raised over $450,000, contributed to 15 conferences, and supported many Breast Care Nurses in the Hunter Valley through the Hunter Nurse Education Group. Breast care nurses play a vital role in supporting and guiding individuals through their breast cancer journey. They provide essential care, education, and emotional support, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care during a challenging time. However, the availability of these specialised nurses can be limited due to funding constraints.
