Breakthrough T1D Discovery Day: London

Breakthrough T1D Discovery Event: London brings the type 1 diabetes community together for a day of insight, connection, and support in the heart of the capital. Designed for individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and anyone connected to type 1 diabetes, this inclusive, family‑friendly event offers something for everyone.

Attendees can expect inspiring speakers, the latest updates in type 1 diabetes, and a Technology Exhibition showcasing devices and practical tools. With spaces and activities designed to engage different age groups, the day creates opportunities to learn, connect, and share experiences.

We’re also excited to share that this event marks the start of something more. Alongside our established Discovery Day programme, we’re developing new plans to further support and engage children and young people — with more to come as these ideas take shape. Speaker Sessions

Hear from a variety of guest speakers, including expert healthcare professionals and individuals living with T1D, sharing their experiencesm covering a range of engaging and informative topics, including research, wellbeing, T1D tech, and much more.

Speakers for the day are to be confirmed, but attendees can expect an inspiring and informative lineup.

Community and Peer Support

Our Discovery Days are centered around bringing the T1D community together. So, at this event, we will be running sessions centered on peer support. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to learn more about specific T1D-related topics, share your experiences within them, and connect with others who share similar interests.

Technology Exhibition

Our technology exhibition will be open all day for you to access. Within the exhibition, you'll be able to explore the range of devices and technologies that are available to help manage T1D. You will also be able to chat and ask questions to a variety of T1D tech companies, including Dexcom, Medtronic, Insulet, and many more.

• Full admission (18+ years) - Attend the whole day - this includes the speaker sessions and the technology exhibition.
• Young person's pathway (12 to 25 years) - Attend our young person's pathway with a range of activities and topics designed for our younger audience.
• Child ticket (5 to 11 years) - Attend our children's pathway
• Tech exhibition only - Just drop into the technology exhibition at your own convenience.
