BREAKOUT DAY 2026
📅 Thursday 27th August 2026
📍 Horton-in-Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire
⏰ 7:00 AM Start
Young people aren’t the problem.
The system is.
That’s why we’re launching BREAKOUT Day.
BREAKOUT Day is our first annual fundraising challenge, bringing together supporters, mentors, employers, volunteers, partners and friends who believe young people deserve better pathways into opportunity, employment and adulthood.
Our flagship challenge for 2026 will be the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
Participants will take on a fully supported 24-mile circular route across:
⛰️ Pen-y-Ghent
⛰️ Whernside
⛰️ Ingleborough
Covering over 5,000ft of ascent and descent, the challenge is expected to take between 10-12 hours to complete.
What’s Included?
✅ Professional Mountain Leaders throughout the challenge
✅ Dedicated support vehicle
✅ First aid trained guides
✅ Event organisation and logistics support
✅ Fundraising support and participant resources
Fundraising Commitment
Participants joining the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge are asked to commit to raising a minimum of £250.
This isn’t a registration fee and we won’t be asking participants to personally cover the cost of the challenge.
Instead, we’re asking everyone taking part to help raise funds that will support both the delivery of BREAKOUT Day and, most importantly, BREAKOUT’s ongoing work with young people.
Your fundraising will help support:
✅ Professional guides and event safety provision
✅ Future Focus programme delivery
✅ Mentoring and progression support
✅ Employability tools and resources
✅ Community and networking opportunities
✅ Creating more opportunities for young people across Greater Manchester and beyond
At BREAKOUT, we’re very clear that young people and frankly all of us at different points in our lives, need someone in our corner.
Someone who believes in us.
Someone who backs us.
Someone who helps us see what’s possible when we can’t always see it ourselves.
That’s what BREAKOUT exists to do.
BREAKOUT Day is about showing up and turning that belief into action.
There are three ways to get involved:
⛰️ Join the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
🏃 Organise your own challenge
📢 Donate or help raise awareness
Whether you’re taking on the challenge yourself, supporting a participant or simply helping spread the word, you’re helping us build something intentionally different.
Because every young person deserves someone in their corner.
