Historic Howell Theater | Howell, MI
Over a decade of footage by filmmaker Steffen Hou follows a Klu Klux Klan leader operating out of Livingston County (LivCo) Michigan during the 2000s and his recent journey toward a more loving life.
This documentary is an unflinching look at the far right hatred that exists in our community and provides insight on ways we can improve. Don’t miss this moving, sometimes shocking, first hand account of the hatred bred here in LivCo and the effort to shine light in the areas of hate!
Join us for a night of healing hate with Hollywood producer, Adam Moyer, and director, Steffen Hou, in attendance along with Christian Picciolini, former extremist turned peace advocate and author.
Hate has made a home in LivCo for many years and we see it firsthand in undeniable recent footage. But healing is what LivCo is truly all about and thankfully we will see that too on the big screen and with our collective effort, every day on every street.
Stand Against Extremism LivCo wants to ensure this important information is accessible to all folks in our community which is why we are offering Thursday’s showing for free. We will be accepting cash donations onsite for anyone wishing to help with the event costs.
