About this Event
Breaking Patterns | A Gathering to Unbind the Self
A Communal Experience
Enter a circle of intention as the Eterna Society opens its first book club gathering with The Black Bourgeoisie as our compass. This evening is not simply about reading—it is about releasing and reclaiming.
Guided by mental health specialists and mindset coaches, we will journey through the truths and tensions that this powerful text unveils. Together, we will explore the inherited roles, unspoken expectations, and generational patterns that have shaped us—often without our consent.
In community, we will pause.
We will breathe.
We will witness one another.
Through reflective dialogue, grounding exercises, and collective insight, we’ll examine what it means to break cycles that no longer serve us and step into identities of our own choosing. This gathering is part conversation, part ritual—an intentional space to shed what is borrowed and anchor ourselves in what is true.
Come ready to listen deeply, speak honestly, and feel supported as we unearth stories, release old narratives, and begin weaving legacies rooted in authenticity.
A communion of mind, memory, and possibility—
for those ready to choose a new pattern
and walk toward a freer version of themselves.
To honor Black History Month, your ticket includes soul food and crafted drinks inspired by the flavors, memories, and ancestral traditions that have nourished our communities for generations.
And with each ticket purchased, you are also supporting 44th & 3rd Bookseller, a Black‑owned independent bookstore dedicated to preserving culture, amplifying Black voices, and keeping our stories alive through literature.
