Breaking Barriers: Women in Risk and Security

The University of Portsmouth is proud to host the Inaugural CEDRR Women in Risk and Security symposium, taking place at the Future Technology Centre on the 15th of July.

This event invites women working and researching in security and risk to connect, contribute and help define the next chapter of inclusive leadership in a complex global landscape.

Key speakers and a panel of experts bring forward the female voices driving change in the sector, exploring how resilience and innovation are shaping the future. Additionally, leaders will reflect upon and share the decisions that shaped their careers.Postgraduate and early-career researchers will have the opportunity to showcase emerging research through direct engagement with those shaping policy and practice.

Together, the event aims to cultivate a supportive community where knowledge, experience and opportunity converge to strengthen the future of women in security and risk.
