Step into the world of the Tudors this July for a remarkable two-day fundraising event hosted by the Mary Rose Trust in support of the Trust’s continuing work preserving one of England’s greatest historical treasures.
This unique event will be chaired by Prof Suzannah Lipscomb and will bring together some of the foremost Tudor historians of our time, each exploring the life, influence, and legacy of one of Henry VIII’s Queens.
Featured Speakers:
• Dr Charlotte Bolland — Katharine of Aragon
• Dr Estelle Paranque — Anne Boleyn
• Dr Elizabeth Norton — Jane Seymour
• Dr Owen Emmerson — Anne of Cleves
• Gareth Russell — Catherine Howard
• Dr Linda Porter — Katherine Parr
Alongside the talks on 18th July, the weekend will continue on 19th July with a moving commemoration of the sinking of the Mary Rose, including a Service of Remembrance at Portsmouth Cathedral, followed by a boat trip to the wreck site in The Solent.
Guests attending in person will also have the opportunity to meet the historians, ask questions, and purchase signed books and merchandise.
