Calling all Zouk-curious Vermonters! Bryn Nugent, Boston-based Brazilian Zouk instructor, is returning with a full day of workshops at the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub on April 25! Join the First Friday Dance Collective for a deeper dive into this beautiful and unique partner dance style. Intro to Brazilian Zouk:

Known for its flow, distinctive upper body movement, and highly variable musical range, Brazilian Zouk is an incredibly beautiful and dynamic partner dance, initially developed in Brazil. This modern relative of the Lambada continues to gain rapid popularity worldwide, driven by its fun flow and diverse appeal. If you have ever been curious about Brazilian Zouk, this workshop is intended as an introduction, accessible to complete beginners, and with attention to how skills from other dance styles can cross over for those social dancers seeking to expand their dance repertoire. This is also a great refresher for folks who attended the previous sessions with Bryn!

Montpelier Performing Arts Hub Classroom
Intended as a follow up class for 'Introduction to Brazilian Zouk', this workshop will take our newly learned fundamentals and expand on them, adding new movements and social dancing possibilities. Dancers interested in this class should have a basic understanding of the Brazilian Zouk basic, lateral, lunge, and simple turn.
Our sliding scale is $15 to $30 per 2-hour lesson, which covers our wonderful instructor and the venue.
