Brass Roots Fest is a free, one-day music festival on September 13, 2026, at Bug Light Park from 12pm - 7pm in South Portland. Enjoy live music, visual art, food trucks, and family-friendly activities along one of Maine's most scenic waterfronts.
More than a decade in the making, the festival is the result of a shared vision and collaboration with city officials to expand access to the arts in our community. With the support of our fiscal sponsor, Equal Measure Arts, Brass Roots Fest is laying the foundation for an annual celebration of music, dance, theater, sculpture, and the visual arts.
Produced independently by Brass Roots Productions, this inaugural festival reflects a deep commitment to public arts programming. We invite residents, visitors, donors, and sponsors to help build a tradition that celebrates creativity, strengthens community connections, and showcases the creative spirit of South Portland.
