Brand identity | Voice, Values and Brand |
About this Event
Your brand is a bit like a house. Voice, values and brand are the foundation, frame and paint job, and if the foundation is off, everything you build on top of it will wobble. This workshop is about getting that foundation right.
Across two hours, we'll dig past the usual "quality" and "handmade" language to find what's actually driving your work, then use that to shape how you sound and how you present yourself, both online and in person. You'll compare tone samples to find your natural fit, work through the building blocks of a recognisable brand (colour, materials, imagery, language) and finish with a one line brand statement you can reuse anywhere.
This session is the first in a two part series. Once you're clear on who you are, the next session turns that identity into actual content for your socials.
Who Should Attend?
Makers at any career stage who are building or refining their practice's public identity. No prior branding or marketing experience needed, just come ready to talk about your work.
What's Included?
A working session with guided exercises, a values word bank, a tone and voice sample sheet, and a worksheet to help you draft your own one line brand statement. You'll leave with the beginnings of a brand statement you can use straight away.
What Should I Bring & Wear?
Note pad or laptop, bring one object from your practice that means something to you, you'll be using it in the opening exercise. Casual, comfortable clothing is fine.
