Join us for the Write Links Workshop & meeting at the Qld Writers Centre, Level 2 State Library, on Saturday 25 July.
This meeting begins with a free workshop for financial Book Links members and a $10 fee for non-members.
1:00pm: Jackie French will join us via ZOOM during our first segment from 1:00 p.m. to discuss book publishing, including a bit about news media. She will cover scams, how to access publishers and agents, the 'Amazon' model, a bit on self-publishing, and what publishers are looking for this year.
Jackie has noted the publishing industry has changed dramatically in the past five years, and those outside the industry, or who haven't worked there recently, are unaware of publishing opportunities as well as the growing number of scams being targeted at emerging writers.
