Branching Out - Modules 16 & 18

Clyde Scouts is providing a opportunity to complete:

• Module 16 - Introduction to Residential Experiences which aims to enable section leaders and those who may support residential experiences for young people, as part of their role in Scouting, to understand the role that residential experiences play in Scouting.
  Completion of this module is part of the adult training scheme and does not automatically give you a Nights Away Permit. If you are interested in gained a Nights Away Permit you should discuss this with your Training Adviser.
  
• Module 18 - Practical Skills aims to enable adults to gain and develop practical skills for the benefit of the young people in their Section. The module covers how to train, coach or otherwise help young people and adults develop practical skills. It requires participants to gain at least two new practical skills of their own.
  Join some of our most experienced leaders in Clyde Region to learn some new 'Scouting Skills' or brush up on your exisiting skills, and learn how to showcase these to your young people.

Before completing this course you should have completed all of the Growing Roots modules. Both modules will support you in running activites for your section and count towards learning for a Sectional Woodbadge.

This is an all day activity and some of the sessions will be outside so please dress for the weather and have approriate footwear.

Please also bring a packed lunch although refreshments will be provided.
