Fergus Smith of Abbeyville Veterinary Practice, will be the guest speaker at the upcoming Carrigaline IFA branch meeting on

Fergus will be speaking on the creation and implementation of herd health plans with special attention on current seasonal issues such as :
drying off cows
parasite control
pneumonia prevention
Fergus will also speak on future possible developments regarding herd health and welfare.
Well-known in the Carrigaline and surrounding areas, Fergus graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) in 1992 and joined Abbeyville in 1995. He further enhanced his expertise by completing a postgraduate certificate in Dairy Herd Health at UCD in 2014.
His professional interests encompass bovine and equine practice, with a focus on herd health, fertility, and ultrasonography.
Additionally, there will be an update regarding the progress of the nitrates derogation application.
We look forward to welcoming Fergus for what promises to be an informative evening.
