Since Victorian Times, the Brampton Mile has been a rite of passage for the good folk of Chesterfield. Precious few would make it to the end, unsurprising as there used to be 25 pubs. These days there are around 17 places to get a drink, if you include the Brampton Brewery Bierhuus, so its still a formidable challenge.
