About this Event

Brain Health Matters: What Parents, Teens, and Adults Need to Know

Brain health affects how we think, learn, feel, and perform—at every stage of life. Yet conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are rising alongside obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, many of which are largely preventable through lifestyle choices.

Because what’s good for the brain is also good for the heart, this event will highlight practical, research-based strategies shown to support both brain and cardiovascular health. Topics include nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, cognitive engagement, and other everyday habits promoted by OptWell to help individuals and families thrive.

Parents play a critical role in shaping lifelong habits—what children eat, how much they move, how they sleep, and how they manage stress. For that reason, parents are a key audience, and our expert speakers are prepared to engage high school students, parents, and older adults alike.

OptWell and The Community House, together with trusted health experts and nonprofit partners, are coming together to provide clear, actionable guidance that empowers teens and adults to take meaningful steps toward better brain health—starting now.
