Boxcar Figaro is the musical project of songwriter Victor DesRoches, playing lyrically rich and melodically compelling original, authentic, Americana songs that improve the mind, make the body stronger, and increase feelings of well-being.
This is a solid, stripped-down, easily listenable band with enough bump in their step that at times you’ll want to get up and dance. Along with original music, Boxcar Figaro plays creative interpretations of other’s tunes from the 1930s to todaySometimes a duo or trio, and sometimes Victor solo, Boxcar Figaro plays a variety of songs, with most sets half original Americana songs, and half covers spanning the past nine decades. Kids like our music. Parents like our music. Folks can even dance if so inclined.
