Botanical Silhouette Drawing & Printing led by Naz Rahbar

Step into botanical silhouette drawing and printmaking using seasonal, locally grown flowers.

In this hands-on workshop, you will create delicate silhouette drawings and combine them with prints made by inking and pressing fresh plant materials. The process creates a soft double exposure effect where line, shadow, and texture intersect.

Working in mono or duo tone, you will explore composition, mark making, and the expressive potential of nature based materials.

You will leave with a series of unique prints and a few fresh stems to take home.

No prior experience needed, just bring your curiosity for making.

• Botanical silhouette drawing and ink techniques
• Printmaking using natural materials
• Layering drawing and print for double exposure effects (not sure about this. I thought they are doing two seperate things. Could work!)
• Composition and mark making with organic forms

• Seasonal, locally grown flowers (Daffodil Drift)
• Washi paper and or fabric
• Water based and fabric inks
• Brayers, brushes, and all printmaking materials
• Guided instruction and demonstrations
• Finished prints to take home
• Fresh stems to take home
• Flower seeds to take home
