Join us for the Boston Daniels Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, August 20th at 11:00 AM!
We're celebrating the exciting revitalization of Boston Daniels Park, now featuring a brand-new playground, updated recreational equipment, a new shelter, and new signage!
This important project was made possible thanks to the support of ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) and CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funds, helping us invest in safe, vibrant spaces for our community.
This park project honors the legacy of Boston Daniels, the first Black police chief of Kansas City, KS (appointed in 1970). The park now stands as a living tribute to his leadership and impact, a place for families, friends, and future generations to gather and grow.
