Borderlands Learning Tour in San Diego

Join us for a week of experiential learning in Tijuana and San Diego, where we will explore migration, borderland communities, and the impact of current immigration policies through the lenses of peacebuilding and hospitality in Christian scripture and tradition.
This Learning Tour will focus on education around migration, the ecological effects of the border wall, immigration detention, and policies that lead to increased deaths of people who cross the border in remote areas. Participants will see the complexities of the immigration system, hear various perspectives on immigration and the borderlands, and develop connections with people and organizations that support and accompany immigrants. The Learning Tour will include peacebuilding activities and theological reflection on Christian faithfulness towards newcomers, and participants will consider opportunities for advocacy in their own churches and communities.
