United States Strongman membership is required to compete.
This contest will be a part of the Johnnie O. Jackson Classic Fitness Expo
There will be a $1500.00 prize pool (provided by Johnnie O. Jackson) for all Open and Masters classes.
The minimum breakdown we be.
1st $75.00
2nd $50.00
3rd 25.00
These amounts are based on the amount of weight classes that have registered athletes in them. this means the prize money for each weigh class could increase if we have empty weight classes on the day of the contest.
We will not be taking late entries for this event. Final day to sign up is 8/15/2026.
The order of the first four events will go in reverse order of registration.
As always we will be having athlete only raffles for equipment and prizes.

Apollon's Wheel (simulated) for Reps – 60 sec
Clean and Press every rep. The athlete may strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk the axle. Both elbows must be locked and both feet recovered before a down command will be given. There will be no press command. If you lockout and "treetop" or throw the axle it will be a no rep. Control the weight down and guide it to the floor. You can also guide it to chest height and then drop it.
The male classes will use an 50 pound solid axle with 26 inch wagon wheels.
The female classes will use a 25 pound axle with bumper plates.
Belt, chalk, elbow sleeves/cuffs, knee sleeves, wrist wraps allowed.
Max Ukrainian Deadlift - 60 Sec
The athlete will be standing on 30 inch plyo boxes and will lift a weighted 33 inch tall T-handles sitting on a 5 inch platform loaded with plates. Each athlete will have three attempts to reach a max weight. Jump in when you're ready. You will be given a down command after every completed rep. Wessel's rule applies. Miss one attempt and you're out.
Men's jumps will be 25 and 45 lbs
Women' jumps will be 15 and 25 lbs
No straps no suits
Chalk, belt, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves allowed.
Fire Hydrant & Sandbag Carry– 60 sec
The athlete will start next to the fire hydrant. They will pick up and carry the fire hydrant 35 feet and set it down upright across the line. The athlete will then pick up the sand bag and carry it back the 35 ft other way across the line.
Women's Fire Hydrant - 125-150
Men's Fire Hydrant - 160-220
Allowed: Belts, wrist wraps, elbow and knee sleeves, chalk, gloves
Weighted Pin Front Hold
Athletes must hold the implement straight out from the torso. Using the fists as a guide, the implement must not go below chin level or higher than eye level. Athletes may get one warning from the judge to correct the form. Next time the level is broken, time will be stopped.
The implement will consist of a 2 inch round loading pin between 12 and 15 inches long. It will be loaded with a combination of chains and weight plates.
Athletes can use wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belts, chalk.
No Tacky, gloves
Three Sandbags over Bar (60 sec)
The sandbags will be staggered.
The lightest bag will be 15ft away from the bar.
The middle bag will be 10 ft away from the bar
The heaviest bag will be 5ft away from the bar
The athlete will pick up each sandbag and carry it the required distance and place over the bar from lightest to heaviest.
