The author will be signing and personalizing copies of the book after the speaking portion of the event.

About the author:

Hello! I'm an adoptive mom, a children's therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). Prior to joining Just Mind Counselors, I spent 30 years working with kids in schools. In 2007, I was fortunate to join the second co-hort of Somatic Experiencing (SE) training in Texas, lead by the wonderful Maggie Kline. Since then, SE has shaped my world. Since 2008, I've been creating tools to help child therapists and school counselors integrate somatic work into their counseling programs. (sensationgame.com) It has been my dream to write children's books that help kids explore their emotions and their sensations (how their feelings feel in their body). I live with my family and two Aussiedoodles, Gracie and Ozzie, in Austin, Texas, and love hiking, camping, and playing all kinds of games with kids.
