About the author:

In Pet Shop Racers, C.S. Jennings plunks his childhood’s pint-sized pets into the vintage racecars and monster trucks he’s always loved. Raised in west Texas, but now living in Austin, C.S.’s career spans children’s publishing (29 books and counting) and animation (two feature-length films and a series). He illustrated the Texas Library Association’s Bluebonnet 2020-2021 Master List book, From an Idea to Disney: How Imagination Built a World of Magic (Clarion). Humor, heart, and healing are his mission as an author and illustrator. He hopes you will find them in these pages.
