Our Annual Fall Harvest Festival & Chili Cook-off will be held on Sunday, October 26th beginning at 5pm! The St. Alban’s Outreach Committee launched this initiative fifteen years ago. Each year the program supplies funds for each first grader at Menchaca Elementary School to buy books of their choice at the May book fair. Our hope is that this will encourage them to continue reading at home during summer break. Best Chili, as determined by attendees’ votes, will receive a 1st Place trophy. 2nd and 3rd place will also be recognized. Let Randall McKee know if you want to compete. There is a sign-up sheet on the whiteboard in the PLC lobby.
We hope you will also bring a cake or dessert to contribute to the Legendary Cake Walk! We is also have a sign-up sheet for this on the whiteboard in the PLC lobby,
We are grateful to the youth for running the games, for all who bring cakes and desserts for the cake walk, those who participate in the costume contest, and to the Brotherhood of St. Andrew for serving hot dogs!
Cost is $8 per person age 12 and over. Come hungry and support this great initiative!
