Week 2026! This special week brings stories to life and encourages a love of books, imagination, and creativity in all children.
Children's Book Week 2026 will run from Saturday, 22 August to Friday, 28 August 2026. Organised by the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA), this year's theme is "Symphony of Stories", featuring artwork by award-winning author-illustrator Briony Stewart.
Children are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character or in line with this year’s theme. Costumes can be simple and fun, creativity is encouraged!
Book Week is a wonderful opportunity to inspire children’s imagination, build confidence, and celebrate the magic of storytelling together.
