Book Launch: Graveyard by Kyle Kouri w/ Special Guests

Join us for the launch of Graveyard, the debut novel from Kyle Kouri, author of The Problem Drinker!

Kyle will be joined by an all-star ensemble of writers -- Jean Kyoung Frazier, Luke Goebel, Brittany Menjivar, and Travis Sedg Bacon -- to discuss their approaches to writing Los Angeles and read from their work.

About the participants:

Kyle Kouri (@kylekouri on Instagram) received his MFA in Fiction from Columbia University. He is the co-founder of Slashtag Cinema, a film production company, and has directed and acted in several films and plays. This includes directing and starring in the award-winning horror short film Keep Coming Back, and acting in Family Movie, which premiered at SXSW. The Problem Drinker, his first book, is an LA Times best-seller. His first novel, Graveyard, comes out October 30th.

Jean Kyoung Frazier is a writer living in Los Angeles. Her debut novel Pizza Girl was published in 2020. She also writes for television.

Luke Goebel is an award-winning author and screenwriter known for his novel Fourteen Stories, None of Them Are Yours, and his screenwriting work on the films Eileen and Causeway. His novel, K*ll Dick (Red Hen Press) is out now.

Brittany Menjivar was born in the DMV; she now works and plays in the City of Angels. Her poetry and prose collection Parasocialite has been praised by the likes of Nylon, Office, and the LA Review of Books. As a screenwriter, she is represented by Untitled Entertainment; she has multiple features in pre-production, including an adaptation of Alex Kazemi’s novel New Millennium Boyz.
