About Our Dark Incantations:
Ex-healer Mira Winters swore she would never use magic again after the war between Casters and Wielders left her orphaned and marked by a scar pulsing with dark magic. But when she is accepted into the newly reopened Ivercrest University, she sees it as a chance to rid herself of the scar—only to be placed in the wrong magic department and paired up with the worst partner, the infuriating Wielder Aidric Dawson.
Rumored to have been a high-ranking soldier during the war, Dawson is lethal, arrogant, and shrouded in secrets. Now, instead of learning how to make a potion strong enough to heal her incurable scar, Mira attends demonology lessons, casts deadly spells, and is forced to confront the Dark Magic that she hadn’t known existed and never wanted—all under Aidric’s dubious tutelage.
After an attempt to heal her scar goes awry, Mira finds herself dragged into a secret M**der investigation on campus with Dawson. A labyrinth of clues pulls Mira and Aidric deep into a sinister plot that threatens the uneasy peace between Casters and Wielders, one with devastating ripples that bleed into the magical world far beyond the university. As the danger escalates, so does the undeniable pull between them, forcing Mira to confront not only the power within her, but the risk of trusting someone who may be just as broken as she is—without losing her life in the process.
