Book Launch for 'Fragments of Victory: The Contemporary Irish Left' edited by Oisin Gilmore and David Landy and published by Pluto Press. Fragments of Victory charts the victories and defeats of the Irish Left during the recession, from the difficult early years of anti-austerity campaigning, to the successful mass campaign to end water charges and the seismic victory that was Repeal. Looking to the present, the campaign around the brutal housing crisis is also addressed. Each chapter covers a different campaign or group, written by involved activists and authors, providing an insider analysis of the fortunes of the Irish Left in this period.
