On Sunday, May 31st, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater and 1984 Publishing present the most sensational skip day, with a 40th anniversary 35mm screening of John Hughes’ ode to high school hijinks, FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF (1986)! And to make you say “Danke Schoen” even louder, we’re hosting a book release party for Jason Klamm’s new book about the making of the film, FERRIS BUELER…YOU’RE MY HERO: THE STORY OF THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS DAY OFF, from 1984 Publishing!It would’ve been just another dull day of senior year at Shermer High, but cunningly creative Ferris Bueller crafts an outrageous outing for himself, his girlfriend Sloane, and best friend Cameron, running riot across 80s Chicago, with Dean Of Students Mr. Rooney hot on his truant trail.
