Author James Alexander Gaffney is returning to the place where his new book was first conceived and invites everyone to join him for a soft launch at Kilwinning Library on 28 February 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm. During the event, James will share readings about the journey that led to the creation of "When Fairies Stole the Sky," a contemporary fantasy tale set in Ayrshire. This story was inspired by the locations that James and his team, including Jan, visited while writing on-site, including Kilwinning, Arran, Ayr, Irvine, and even a waterfall with a library perched at the top.
