Alan Light

Emmy Award–winning music journalist Alan Light is the author of numerous books including his latest, Don't Stop: Why We (Still) Love Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours". His other titles include The Holy or the Broken: Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley, and the Unlikely Ascent of “Hallelujah” (which was adapted into an acclaimed documentary), as well as Let’s Go Crazy: Prince and the Making of Purple Rain and biographies of Johnny Cash, Nina Simone, and the Beastie Boys. He was the cowriter of bestselling memoirs by Gregg Allman and Peter Frampton. Alan was a senior writer at Rolling Stone, the editor-in-chief of Vibe and Spin, and a longtime host on SiriusXM. He contributes frequently to The New York Times, Esquire, and The Wall Street Journal, among many publications, and cohosts the podcast Sound Up!


Mark Ronson

Mark Ronson is a globally celebrated DJ, New York Times Bestselling author, and an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and 9-time GRAMMY-winning producer and songwriter, renowned for his eclectic blend of pop, soul, funk, and hip-hop influences.

A lifelong music enthusiast, Ronson began his career DJing in New York City during the '90s, a passion that eventually led him to production, songwriting, and recording.

Most recently Ronson teamed up with Lorne Michaels as an executive producer for SNL50: The Homecoming Concert, curating a one-night-only event featuring legendary musical guests which was recently nominated for an Emmy. Last year Ronson served as the executive producer for Barbie The Album and composed the film’s score alongside Andrew Wyatt. His work on the soundtrack earned him a GRAMMY.

In addition to releasing five successful albums of his own, Ronson has collaborated with a range of iconic artists, including Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa, Adele, Paul McCartney, and Lady Gaga, including co-writing “Shallow” for A Star Is Born, which earned him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy Award.His early work with Amy Winehouse for her critically acclaimed album Back to Black earned him multiple Grammy’s including Producer of the Year, while his own global smash hit, "Uptown Funk" featuring Bruno Mars, became one of the best-selling singles of all time.
