The Josephine School Community Museum Book Club meets at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, to discuss “The Road That Made America” by James Dodson. Mr. Dodson will attend to lead the discussion. It is not necessary to read the book to attend today’s FREE discussion.
Published in 2025, “The Road That Made America” is a historical travelogue about the the Great Wagon Road, an 18th-century migration route from Pennsylvania to the Southern backcountry. More than 100,000 European colonists traveled the road, including Mr. Dodson’s own ancestors.
The book is available at libraries and book shops.
