Join Beth Olivier, for the Book Buffet, a free monthly themed reading group at Daily Bowl café where we will dive into captivating stories, explore different genres, and share our love for literature.
Each month, Beth will introduce a theme and provide a suggested reading list of poems, short stories, fiction, and non-fiction, to help jumpstart your own discovery of meaningful texts related to the theme.
Attendees can read as little, or as much, as they like. Having a theme, rather than a set text, allows people to bring literature that fits the theme, perhaps something they have read/studied before (if time for reading is in short supply!), or a series of works that encounter the theme from different vantage points. The aim is to provide a safe, friendly space that encourages reading and the discussion of books.
The group will meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm with ample time for discussion, reading, relaxing, and meeting fellow readers.
Wine/beer, hot and cold beverages along with Daily Bowl's homemade sweet treats will be available for purchase.
PLEASE RSVP via the Eventbrite link.
