A themed monthly reading group to discuss books/poems/stories with time for discussion, relaxing, and a chance to meet fellow book lovers.
About this Event

Join Beth Olivier, for a free monthly themed reading group at Daily Bowl café.

Join our new book group, the Book Buffet, where we will dive into captivating stories, explore different genres, and share our love for literature. Whether you're into fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, or historical novels, the Book Buffet reading group welcomes readers of all tastes and backgrounds.

Each month, Beth will introduce a theme and provide a suggested reading list of poems, short stories, fiction, and non-fiction, to help jumpstart your own discovery of meaningful texts related to the theme.

Attendees can read as little, or as much, as they like. Having a theme, rather than a set text, allows people to bring literature that fits the theme, perhaps something they have read/studied before (if time for reading is in short supply!), or a series of works that encounter the theme from different vantage points. The aim is to provide a safe, friendly space that encourages reading and the discussion of books.

The group will meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm with ample time for discussion, reading, relaxing, and meeting fellow readers.

Wine/beer, hot and cold beverages along with Daily Bowl's homemade sweet treats available for purchase.
