Bonsai Workshop: Air Layering

Air layering is a technique to propagate or create new bonsai by forcing a branch or trunk to develop its own roots while still attached to the parent tree, usually done in spring. It involves wounding the bark, applying sphagnum moss for moisture, and wrapping in plastic to encourage root growth.
