How do I collect my participant pack?
You can collect sunglasses and paint on the day from the registration desk located in the main reception in the Arena.
What should I wear?
Be sure to wear light coloured clothing that you don't mind getting too messy (the coloured powder is washable but may take a few washes before it comes out and may stain pale colours - so we don't want you to take any chances!). Most importantly, make sure you have some sensible footwear.
Do I have to run the whole course?
Not if you don’t want to. We would like as many people as possible to take part in the event and this at whatever speed and pace you are comfortable with.
Will the coloured powder harm the environment?
The powdered paint is completely non-hazardous and biodegradable. We will clean up as much as we can after the event but the powder disappears into the ground surprisingly quickly.
The Bereavement Cafe
The Bereavement Café is a pop up service moving around Bolton, Wigan and surrounding areas. We offer peer to peer support, the opportunity to meet others in your locality who are going through similar situations, friendship, advice and hope.
The Bereavement Cafe Story
In recent years, many have faced the harsh realities of social restrictions, preventing them from sharing those precious final moments with their loved ones.
These circumstances have resulted in an abundance of unsaid words and unshared emotions between loved ones and friends who typically provide support in these difficult times.
Just like me, many are grappling with the stress and anxiety of pent-up emotions that we are ill-prepared to handle. If ignored, these unresolved issues can drive some down harmful paths in their attempts to cope, leading to issues like depression, substance abuse, self-harm, gambling, and other damaging behaviours.
The Bereavement Café isn’t solely for those mourning the loss of loved ones. We also welcome those who are in charge of the welfare of children and young adults. Please reach out to see how we can assist in providing training to equip these young minds with strategies to manage the grieving process more smoothly.
