Beginner-friendly watercolour workshop inspired by the iconic Two Lads Cairns ahead of their restoration this summer. The workshop will explore Two Lads indoors, inspired by photographs and stories.

Suitable for those with accessibility needs. Please let us know in advance if you or anyone in your party has any specific requirements so we can ensure you get the most out of the event.

What to know before the session:

• The watercolour session will be beginner-friendly. All ages welcome. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Due to the nature of the workshop, we would ask that people do not bring dogs, except assistance dogs.
• Walker Fold can have poor phone signal, please plan your route ahead of time.
• All materials for the session will be provided.

About Aysha Yilmaz

Aysha classes herself as a Multidisciplinary Artist/ Creative Practitioner as her practice consists of Painting, Textiles and Mixed Media. She teaches Arts and Crafts to different groups (Age Friendly, Women's Groups, Children, and Families). The workshops she teaches are mainly textile-based such as Silk painting, Felting and Mixed Media. Her work is mainly nature-inspired. She has taught in many Primary schools as an Artist in Schools. She currently teaches regularly at the Whitworth Art Gallery on their Handmade programme and is a regular artist for UnityArts Manchester. She is on the Whitworth Art Gallery’s Advisory Group.
