West African Djembe & Dunun Playshops!Master Drummer Bolokada Condé is making an surprise visit to the Bay Area on December 6 in Benicia & December 7 in San Mateo and he wants to drum with YOU before he leaves for Guinea!
Take a deep dive into Malinke rhythms where Bolokada Conde will teach djembe and dunun parts, while sharing cultural history and stories, solo phrases, along with all the nuances that are so important to this type of music.
Known for making drumming fun and accessible, Bolo creates an atmosphere where everyone—from beginners to seasoned players—feels the groove and depth of these powerful traditional rhythms.
