BOFIN Inspiration Day - West

Join BOFIN at Wicklesham Lodge Farm on 14 May for the West Inspiration Day, a hands-on event showcasing practical on-farm innovation and sustainable farming research.

The day will feature presentations, workshops and two farm walks. In the morning, explore the environmental-focused work of the Ock Catchment Farmer Cluster, learning practical approaches to water management and landscape-scale stewardship. In the afternoon, tour the SLIMERS and other BOFIN project trials, with opportunities to discuss trial design, treatments and early observations with the researchers and farmers involved.

Keith Walters from Harper Adams University will present the latest SLIMERS results, sharing insights into sustainable slug management and summarising the project to date. Attendees will also go below ground with a soil pit demonstration led by Charlotte White from ADAS, gaining practical insight into soil structure, biology and how these factors underpin crop performance and resilience.
