Body Mirror Mind – Embodiment Class
Body Mirror Mind is an embodiment class inspired by systema, yoga, dance, qigong, shadow work, and all of my learning through my early health and fitness days, through my journey of deeper self healing and internal awareness until now.
The class will be not only about movement, but about our emotions.
We will explore boundary setting and communication, self-regulating and reciprocal co-regulating, and working with others. This includes feeling into our own energetic space, feeling into another person’s energetic space, and noticing what is coming up emotionally for each other.
We will learn how where there is fear, there is tension, and where emotions aren’t met, the body stays stuck in holding patterns. When we vocalise limiting beliefs and free shame, we actually open space internally within us. This changes our movement through life and our body at a cellular level.
There will be massage, dance, and embodied movement practices. We will use down regulating tools. We will meet vulnerability, fears, and deeper parts of ourselves, and learn to move in a more connected and aligned version of ourselves.
Touch and working with others are always optional, with clear communication, consent, and respect for personal boundaries.
Who this class is for
This class is for everyone.
It’s for anyone who is looking to come home to their body and to meet and touch aspects of themselves that need attention, that are calling for something deeper.
It’s for people who are looking to get into their flow and get out of their head and into their body.
It’s for people who want to learn to be a little bit more tender and connect to themselves in a deeper way.
This isn’t about ego. It’s not about competition. It’s about connection. And when we connect to ourselves, we connect better with others.
This is nevous system hygeiene.
Pricing
£15 per session.
What to bring
Please bring a bottle of water.
If you’re someone who likes to drink water throughout, that’s absolutely fine.
You’re welcome to bring a mat if you choose to, but there’s no real need. I tend to work with any floor and any surface, and I don’t usually use a mat myself, so I wouldn’t advise bringing one unless you really want to bring your own.
You may want to bring a towel, depending on fitness levels. Some people might build up a sweat, though a lot of the work will be at a slower pace. A towel is optional, just like a mat.
