Board Women Sussex Skate Safari

Ready to roll, explore, and connect? Join us for a free one-of-a-kind skate meet-up across Sussex, designed for women and gender minorities aged 30 and over who love to skateboard (or are ready to get back on the board!).

This full-day adventure will take us on a journey to three different skateparks across Sussex, spending a couple of hours at each location to ride, learn, and connect with like-minded individuals. Whether you're a beginner, confident skater or easing back into it, this is your chance to build skills, share encouragement, and celebrate the joy of skating in a supportive, inclusive community.

Expect a relaxed, fun atmosphere with plenty of time to cruise, try new things, and cheer each other on.

We will also be meeting up with Brighton Girls Skate Club at The Level for their 5th Birthday celebration, hosted by founder Sarah Turton.

What to expect:

• Visits to three skateparks across Sussex
• A welcoming, inclusive group of 30+ women/gender minorities
• Time to skate, socialise, and explore at each stop
• A supportive environment for all levels

Bring your board, protective gear, lunch, plenty of water, and your sense of adventure.

Day Plan:-
08:00 - 10:00 Hove Lagoon
10:00 - 10:30 Travel
10:30 - 13:00 The Level (Brighton)(inc. lunch)
13:00 - 13:30 Travel
13:30 - 13:30 Hollingdean Skatepark (Brighton)

This is an informal, relaxed meet-up and times may vary throughout the day; you are welcome to attend any of the skateparks - whatever works for you.

No equipment is provided so be sure to bring your own, there is also no formal coaching or lessons (you skate at your own risk). Lifts can be arranged between attendees where possible.

We will keep checking the weather near the day and keep the WhatsApp group updated, but if it happens to rain there is a possibility that we may be able to organise an indoor skatepark session, or the event may be postponed.

Also, the skateparks listed may change closer to the time of the event but we will notify you by email and keep the WhatsApp group updated if this is the case.
