About this Event

The term “blended wine” is quite literal, referring to wines that are created by blending together one or more grape varieties to create an offering that is greater than the sum of its parts. For example, when a winemaker wants to soften the big, grippy tannins of a Cabernet Sauvignon, they’ll often blend in Merlot, which is softer and more supple. Blended wines are incredibly common too, in fact, some of the most famous wines in the world are usually blends, such as Bordeaux or Rioja. Join us as we explore some iconic blends, and maybe even a couple that will surprise you!
